I am from the South of Ireland and I find exactly the same thing happens down here re: why do you like buses?To be honest I cant answer that as I have no idea what makes them appeal to me, they just do. As Paul and Ciaran said other people like cars & other forms of transport, we are just into buses, theres no difference.
What I dont understand is on your part Olive, you say that Bus enthusiasts annoy you when in the garage or taking photos on the street. I cant understand why we annoy you so much, are we running in front of your bus and causing a danger to ourselves and others?
Or another point that was said on Bustravel Ireland a while back was would you rather see an enthusiast with a camera taking a photo or some thug with a baseball bat or syringe waiting to attack you?
In all honestly I really dont understand what peoples problems are with us taking photographs of buses, it might be strange or bizarre to some people but we are happy doing it, doing no harm to anybody so whats the problem?
Anyway i'll stop ranting now :)
