The main reason most drivers will not touch private hires is because they pay very badly. You may also go to the loss of overtime if you accept a private hire. Overtime which pays at least time and a half. I recently did a private hire. My first and last. It started at 8.20am and finished around 1.30. Thats 5 hours. For that, I took home under £25. Not much. And this private hire wasnt much hassle. Imagine carting a load of drunken, loud, and abusive football supporters around for that? No thanks!
