    As far as I know, drivers (at least) are bound to a minimum contract of 2 years, this is because some people were joining Ulsterbus and then after gaining their PCV licence, clearing off.

    Initially you pay a fee which is refunded after you pass the test. In Derry, in order to get the big bus pay, the highest driver in minibuses is in the company about two years, and the highest in the 'B' rotas in in about 12 or 13 years. I don't know how this mirrors accross the rest of the company as Derry is the Biggest depot outside Belfast, but I assume the situation is much same.

    Translink, unlike some other operators they believe that information about the company like duty schudules and fleet information is strictly their business and unless information from Marketing is given out, managers always have to be asked before it is given out.
