Just like the others have said, although be prepared for a long wait. I applied in October 2000 and didnt start the Training School until June 2001. It is tough, the medicals are very stringent. The slightest signs of any problems, you are refused point blank. I have known people who fell at this hurdle because of a few pounds in weight or their blood pressure was a little high on the day of the medical. The doc takes no prisoners! The Training School was six weeks of pure hell! Fail the school and you are out on your ear without a penny until your next test date. The pressure was unbearable sometimes. But, im glad i went through with it. My dad is a driver also. This helps, if you know someone. The only advice i can give is to be prepared for a long hard slog, its not easy! Best of luck! Maybe see you some day!
