It is strange that the TE-type is a really old body design, originally complementing the Y-type seen on some of the former Ulsterbus training school buses; the Ulsterbus examples must have been nearly the end of the production run. It makes the bus look older than it really is; I remember a passenger commenting 'Vintage bus today?' to the driver when 527 was used on one of the morning expresses from Dpk to Belfast instead of the normal JAZ Goldliner.
