As far as I can see punts and sterling were used fairly interchangeably on the buses, e.g. once for the £2.50 student return from Derry to Letterkenny I paid with an Ulster Bank £5 note and received two English pound coins and an Irish 50p in my change. Do they have a currency conversion table like the Ulsterbus / Bus Eireann one or anything? I don't think the Setright ticket machines would be able to handle automatic conversions like the new Ulsterbus TGX150s! Also---is the Lough Swilly timetable section up-to-date?
