Much is said about one bus swapping to another depot but this will likely start to fade away over the next number of years. With the advent of the electronic destinations imagine how useless for example a Larne bus would be in Omagh without it needing reprogrammed?
Often on the Ultras the destination could get very messy and unreadable (not everyone would know their service number as displayed on the side/rear) or it could break altogether. The new ones are very clear.
I don't see the same problems in other depots but Derry must go through a fortune of Paper and Photocopier toner as the city and country buses are sometimes switched at short notice and neither really carries destinations suitable for the other(hence the A4 pages stuck to the window). Not helpful if you are short sighted without your glasses like me.
