Not a totally unusual sight I have to say.
Owing to the destination blind being so long in the Derry buses, the drivers get bored turning the handle as in some buses the destination relevant to 212 was attached on to the end of a standard blind. And after all, the expresses between Derry and Belfast were running through Magherafelt, Omagh and Kilrea long before someone came up with the idea of taking the most direct route in 1990.
Seems odd that actually not many new screens were printed - even for the newer buses(Goldliners c.1500+).Mind you,the rural services in the Derry area have barely changed in the last 10 years.
For Information:In the Ulsterbus timetable issued from 13/05/91 the Belfast express via Kilrea was service 215. In 1991 it only had one departure Mon-Fri in each direction and one each way on a Sunday.Could this have been the last Express from Kilrea?
