, in reply to "Re: Double Deckers - no good" There won't be any double decker allocated to V because of Victoria bridge at the entrance to the garage, isn't there a notice on the bridge warning drivers of the low bridge? The ordinance Survey (I think) last year published a map of all the low bridges in Northern Ireland, it was in the news section in Buses magazine. When Citybus NB receive their share of the double deckers, 2937-40, the Mercedes artics 3100-3 will be transfered to normal Citybus services. These 'deckers will be coach seated for City Express work. The reason for the transfer is that the artics rear saloon sways about too much on the motorways, which when you think about it, it does. The artics allow many more people on board- a 'decker allows about 90 including standees whereas an artic allows about 145 people including standees. So an artic would be really useful on the likes of the Ormeau Road. Before I go, Ulsterbus OX are to receive double deckers 2935/6. cya
