From what I gather being out and about in Derry today, one of our original Renowns has a broken destination(the first time, I believe in Derry) I think it is 2841 or 2845 but I'm not sure. Also I saw 2838 in service today with a vague destination: DOIRE 274 I think it was on Slievemore but are the following not true? 1. I thought that the Renowns did not have country destinations 2.Why was the destination not alternating between this and Derry/Londonderry.
I had noticed on Thursday that when 2838 was doing Slievemore the screen was SLIEVEMORE D10 and not alternating with SHANTALLOW D10. Are these buses not going to do this or were they programmed the way the Ultras were with Curryneirin where there is a separate code for Curryneirin via Kilfennan?
Incidentally, the Derry Ultras are becoming a joke. About all but five have broken screens.One is stuck on 151 CITY CENTRE, another is stuck on D06BALLYMAGROARTY and up until recently (if not still) I think it was 2759 was stuck on SORRY NOT IN SERVICE. Now I am 21, and I find it difficult to read paper destinations from a short distance I wonder do Ulsterbus realise how difficult it is for an elderly person with worse eyesight than me to read these?
