This is something that has been bugging me for a few weeks now being around Belfast regularly lately. It annoys me when I see a bus operating a service that would be better served elsewhere e.g. Renowns in use on Services 38 and 51 from Belfast to Newry and Craigavon respectively.I believe these buses are unsiutable for such journeys and should be used for urban areas like town services. They are incredibly uncomfortable after about 30 minutes bouncing around the countryside. I realise that Express buses operate these routes also but how can a service operated by a Renown from Laganside to Portaferry be justifiable? Also I saw a Goldliner doing a Service 20 from Belfast to Kilkeel on Tuesday where people going on the 1630 Flyer to Derry were forced to endure Artic 3000 with no reclining seats(and they had to put on an assist bus as well!!)
And to top it all off I read on this page that 2756 was used on service 97 This is a personal barge and it is up to depot to use buses as they please.Does anyone else have views?
