In 1997 when the first Ultras were delivered to Short Strand depot, I personally didnt think they were very good.
In the years following I havent changed my thoughts on them either.
I remember when they were brand new and hadnt even been put in service that nearly every one leaked water inside, for new buses that isnt very good.
Ever since the problems have just mounted up, for example, constant suspension failure, numerous electricial problems and destination screen failures, these vehicles have only acheived this record in 4 years, god knows what the next 10 years will bring if they make it that far.
Bring back the good ol double door RE they replaced of which still quite a few survive in Beatties scrapyard. (ahhhh its nice to dream)
