As you mention it, I overheard 2 drivers talking about this in Derry today, remarking how poor the Ultras are. I have to say from a passenger point of view the new colour scheme makes the buses look very tatty and aged(especially the Ulsterbus ones). I was in Belfast on Sunday and there are still a few knocking about in the old 'stripes' for the want of a better word and these look much better to the eye. Meanwhile the Renowns(which are very powerful) are not far behind. Believe me Translink will never get the same use out of these light aluminium cans as the Bristols, Leopards and for that matter the Tigers. I can't see any other reason for this other than the careless way the Low Floor variety are sometimes driven for example over ramps and turning left. Anyone Agree?
