Does anybody know how the Citybus Shifts are organised.
I see that North-South services are connected ie the bus would travel from Carr's Glen(61) to Stranmillis (69) via City Centre.
I don't understand what happens that say a bus left DSE for Stranmillis at 1300
with the journey time of 13 mins the next scheduled bus is not until something like 1322. I can see Newtownabbey is worse.Say again the Carnmorey(9) bus left at 1300 from DSW with a journey time of 35 mins. the timetable would show something like 1320 and 1400 from Carnmoney.Where does the bus go when it gets to Carnmoney?
Do they sit interminably at the terminus or do they go and park in the depot?
I waited over 25 mins at Abbey Centre (or Obbey Santer as I heard it being called) for a bus to the City Centre on Monday. So if both the 9 and 11 buses from Carnmoney have a 30 minute frequency each the law of averages should have bus there every 15 mins at least. Are the Citybus timetables right or are they window dressing? I don't think people in Derry(or anywhere) would take too kindly on a bus not leaving its place on time without good reason. I think people in Belfast are being fooled. As long as the bus leaves the City Centre around the stated time they are happy and takes them to their destination they are happy but going in to town is something of a lottery in my view.
