    Double Deckers - no good

Surely it would have been better to have invested in the articulated Wrightbus than the Alexander Double Decker. The following points are salient.
    1. Although the Alexanders were made in Mallusk, providing local employment, the parent company is Scottish. Had Wrightbus been used, all the benefits would have come to Ulster, not part.
    2. Vandalism is a serious issue on vehicles where the driver has a good view / hearing of the entire bus. Upstairs on the deckers will be rife woth vandalism by little wankers
    3. Height. The artics would not be restricted by low bridges whereas deckers would.

There seems to be a certain level of nostalgia about the first double deckers commissioned in 25 years. I think nostalgia should play no port in a serious transport solution for a city

If anyone wishes to reply, feel free to do so
