The early Goldliners 514 - 529 never seem to be used much on express services now. As new Goldliners have entered service, the BCZ 1630's the older Goldliers are used less on Express work. For example Derry used to have 3 of the early Goldliners. Only 516 PXI 5516 now remains while the rest were re-allocated. The same thing happened to the Q Type Cityliner Goldliners. Alot of these Goldliners were re-allocated also with eg's that I know of including the following: 1340 TXI 1340 Coleraine - Laganside 1341 TXI 1341 Coleraine - Laganside 1343 Txi 1343 Magherafelt - Newtownabbey 1352 TXI 1352 Londonderry - Downpatrick 1356 TXI 1356 Armagh - Newtownabbey I think it is very strange that all ex TXI Goldliners received the white paint job. If they are to receive the new Translink fleet colours why did they not just carry Goldliner colours until the green colours were added? From this message board I know that Ballymena still uses 514 and 518 alot on main express services but any other examples that I know of only operate the likes of school services. Coleraine for example never seem to use anything less than Plaxton 1551 on express services, with the same thing being said for other larger depots such as Derry.
